Video Description

What You'll Learn

  • Save plan and 3D views from your model for later use
  • Choose canvas color, projection, and color mode per saved view
  • Toggle labels on or off depending on what the view needs to show
  • Export saved views as images or add them straight to present mode sheets

Transcript

Start by saving views from your model to add to the sheets later. Moreover, these can also be exported for sharing with stakeholders. Let's create a plan view first. Here you can select the canvas color, switch between orthographic or perspective for 3D views, and change the color mode to texture, department, or monochrome. You can also tweak advanced canvas settings such as showing or hiding edges or axis for the plan view. Lastly, decide if you want to display the labels. Once saved, you can still make updates like panning a view or hiding elements. Similarly, save 3D views: switch to the 3D view, pan, orbit, or zoom into a particular view. Labels can be turned on for 3D views, but note that they are only visible when viewed from the top. Created views can be added to sheets in the present mode. These views can also be exported as images by selecting the views to export, choosing the resolution and the export format. A zip file of the views will be saved to your system. You can easily navigate to a specific view, add your comments, and collaborate with your teammates using the saved views option.
