After creating the model form, let's run a climate analysis to validate the design. Click on the sustainability tab. We'll check the direct sun hours, sun path, and shadows analysis on the concept model we've created. By default, the sun hours analysis will be activated. Set the start and end date for the analysis. Then click on run analysis. This generates a heat map showing areas receiving direct sunlight for an average of 9 hours per day. This analysis helps us align the spaces we've created with the region's climatic conditions. The results will vary based on the site location imported. The heat map shows areas receiving 5 to 9 hours of sunlight throughout the day in red and other areas receiving 1 to 3 hours of sunlight per day in blue. This helps decide external materials, layout changes, and if open spaces or balconies are needed. To further validate our results, switch on the sun path diagram. You can also save the view of these results in different 3D views. Now let's look at the shadow analysis. Running the shadow analysis shows how the project casts shadows throughout the day, month, and year. This helps us understand how the project and surrounding buildings cast shadows on the project. Saved views can then be added to our sheets in the present mode to create presentation drawings. Conduct analysis early on your project to validate the design and make necessary changes based on these analysis results.
