Space Adjacency

Video Description

You can now automatically compute and arrange spaces based on adjacency rules. Define strong, indirect, or restricted relationships, and Snaptrude will pack spaces accordingly, giving you a faster way to move from program to layout.

What You'll Learn

  • Get adjacencies computed automatically the moment a program is generated
  • View relationships at both the space and department level
  • Use the pack tool to build a layout based on adjacency lines instantly
  • Delete, reposition, or recompute adjacencies any time without losing your edits

Transcript

Here's a quick video about adjacencies in Snaprude. Whenever you generate a program, whether from AI, a CSV, or interpret, adjacencies are computed automatically. You can view them at both the space and department level. As we move departments around, you'll see the adjacency lines adjust with them. You can reposition them manually or use the arrange tool for a quicker layout. Zooming in, each line shows a relationship: strong adjacencies that must stay together, indirect ones that should be near each other, and restricted ones that should stay apart. With the pack tool, Snaptrude instantly builds a layout based on these relationships. You can repack to explore alternate configurations, all within seconds. You also have full control to delete adjacencies manually, create contact adjacencies by moving spaces together, and recompute any time while keeping your edits intact. This way you can transition from program data to intelligent layouts quickly and efficiently with relationships that mirror real world planning.
