Video Description

In K-12 design, getting the relationships between spaces right is just as important as the spaces themselves.

With Snaptrude, you can:

✓ Generate adjacency maps to see how functions connect

✓ Split departments into spaces

✓ Add or remove adjacency lines based on research

✓ Turn layouts into bubble diagrams for clear stakeholder communication

Early planning becomes faster, clearer, and easier to share. That means better decisions before you even begin detailed design.

What You'll Learn

  • Switch to department-level blocks to study relationships before detailing spaces
  • Run the adjacency tool to see which functions need to connect
  • Split an academic block into elementary, middle, and high school zones
  • Visualize the result as a bubble diagram for stakeholder conversations

Transcript

Understanding relationships between spaces is critical in school design. After switching to department level blocks, I can run the adjacency tool, which maps which functions need to connect. I'd like to split the academic block into elementary, middle, and high school, resize sports areas, and move blocks into rough layouts. I can also add or remove adjacency lines based on my research. Once refined, I can save this as a sheet or visualize it as a bubble diagram, making early planning clear and easy to explain to stakeholders. Try now at snaptrude.com.
