3.51.0

"This release puts the whole Revit importexperience inside Snaptrude, so the first thing you see after import is your model with the AI already ready to use."
– Ankit Kumar, Product Analyst
What's New
You can now import a .rvt file without leaving Snaptrude. The full flow, from upload to first query, happens inside the app.
Revit Import in New Project modal
The import option is available directly from the New Project modal alongside the existing AI flow. Click New Project, select Import Revit file, and drag and drop your .rvt file (up to 150 MB).
For files larger than 150 MB, the modal surfaces a download link for the Snaptrude Manager plugin.
Upload and processing
An animated loader keeps you informed during the 3-5 minute processing window. If you navigate to the dashboard before processing completes, the project tile shows a "Processing..." state and you'll receive an in-app notification and email when the model is ready.
No rooms detected
Revit files without rooms are not imported. AI queries in Snaptrude rely on room data to function, so importing a file without rooms would result in a project where AI doesn't work, with no clear explanation why.
If no rooms are detected, you'll see two options: explore a pre-loaded sample Revit project with rooms, or upload a different file.
Note: If you need to import a Revit file without rooms for space planning purposes, this is still possible through Snaptrude Manager.
First load experience
When your model is ready and you open the project, you land on an AI-ready workspace.
Import summary
The AI panel opens with a summary of what came through: object categories, Revit object counts, Snaptrude object counts, and fidelity percentages. You can download a full import report from here.
Layer visibility
Layers reflect the content of your imported model. Only object types present in the canvas are shown (Spaces, Walls, Slabs, Floors, Furniture, Mass). Empty object types don't appear in the layers list.
Quick switch to plan views
You can switch to any plan view directly from AI mode, and return to 3D with a single click.
Example queries to start with
The AI panel surfaces a set of suggested queries to help you get started:
- "Give me a percentage of program area breakdown in the project"
- "Check if any of the spaces violates ADA standards"
- "What is the rentable vs non-rentable area in this project?"
- "Analyze if my space dimensions adhere to International Building Codes"
- "Give me an area breakdown of common vs private space"
