Reference lines in present mode
“Reference lines are now part of your presentation toolkit, not just your design workspace. This means architects can carry grids, boundaries, and annotations straight into Present Mode, keeping presentations both precise and professional.”
– Azhar Poonawala, Sr. Product Analyst

You can now export reference lines into Present Mode, keeping them crisp, editable, and consistent with your design views. This makes it easier to present grids, site boundaries, or annotations directly within your presentation sets.

What’s New

  • Reference lines carry over from Design/BIM to Present Mode
  • Saved views preserve:
    • Line thickness (1–12)
    • Line style (solid, dashed, dash-dot)
    • Line color
  • Hidden reference lines in a view stay hidden when presented.
  • Updating a reference line on canvas automatically updates all linked views in Present Mode.
  • In 2D, reference lines remain as SVG objects for high-resolution output, even when BIM elements are present.

Limitations

  • In 3D, reference lines export as raster images. Their thickness matches what is visible on canvas.
